Privacy policy

This website provides information about the documentary “Die letzten Tage der Menschheit” (The Last Days of Mankind). We process as little personal data as possible. There is no advertising, no visitor analytics and no tracking. In case of doubt, the German version applies.

Visiting the website

When you visit these pages, the server of our web host [WEB HOST] automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted after the host’s retention period and are not combined with other data.

Cookies

The website sets no cookies for advertising or analytics. For choosing between German and English, a technically necessary cookie (“pll_language”) may be stored that contains only the selected language. WordPress sets its own login cookies for logged-in editors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

Videos and images

Trailer, clips and images are hosted on our own server. Playing them does not transfer any data to video platforms. References to YouTube, Instagram or other websites are plain links. Only when you click such a link does the privacy policy of that provider apply.

Fonts

The website’s fonts are loaded from our own server. No connection is made to Google or other font providers.

Contact by email or phone

If you write to us or call us, for example about a screening, a school screening or a press enquiry, we use your details only to answer your enquiry and organise the screening (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Release updates

If you ask us to keep you informed about the release, screenings with talks or school screenings, we store your email address and the details you give us for that purpose (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time with a short message to office@ritzlfilm.at, and we will delete your address.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. Please write to office@ritzlfilm.at. If you believe we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
